Overview

Lawgistics is a full-stack legal-tech SaaS we designed and built for Malaysian SMEs. It lets a small business generate a lawyer-drafted, compliant contract in minutes instead of booking hours of legal consultation. Users browse document categories, fill out a guided form, and get a fully generated legal document (NDAs, service agreements, business transfer deeds, and more). They can refine it with an AI editing assistant, then pay a one-time fee to unlock and download it as a PDF or Word file. We built the whole thing: the dynamic template and form system, the AI-assisted editor, the payment integrations, and a CMS-backed admin panel to run it all.

The Challenge

For a small business, a routine contract shouldn't mean an expensive lawyer visit. But the usual alternatives are generic templates with no real legal grounding, or nothing at all. Lawgistics had to sit between those two: self-serve and instant, but still compliant and lawyer-drafted. That meant building a platform that could: • Turn legal templates into guided forms anyone can fill without a lawyer • Let users revise a generated document by chatting with it, instead of fighting legal formatting • Take real payment per document through the gateways Malaysian businesses actually use • Keep unpaid documents locked until payment clears • Give the operator a way to manage templates, categories, pricing, and users without touching code The real work was making something legally serious feel simple. A non-lawyer needed to generate, edit, and pay for a compliant contract in one clean flow.

What We Built

Dynamic template and form system. A headless CMS builder turns each legal template into a guided form, so the right questions produce the right document. AI editing assistant. Users refine their generated contract in plain conversation. We paid attention to the UX here, building a "reject and suggest alternatives" flow so the assistant offers better options rather than just saying no. A second "Agreement Guide" chatbot helps users pick the right template before they even start. Dual payment gateways. Two separate integrations, Billplz and M2UPay/Maybank2u, with webhook-based verification and access-gating that keeps documents locked until payment goes through. Admin CMS and auth. Role-based authentication through Clerk, plus a full admin panel to manage templates, categories, pricing, and users. Documents export to PDF and Word, and share through secure tokenized links.

Why It Wins

• Lawyer-drafted, self-serve. Real legal grounding at the speed and price of software, not a generic template dump. • AI that revises with judgment. Conversational editing built to suggest alternatives instead of blunt rejections. • Payments done properly. Two live Malaysian gateways with webhook verification and clean payment-gating, not a checkout stub. • Operator-ready. The CMS admin panel lets the business run and price its own catalogue with no engineering.

Outcome

We delivered a production-ready legal document platform that replaces an expensive lawyer visit with a few minutes of guided self-serve. A business generates a compliant contract, refines it with AI, pays, and downloads — all in one flow.
